The Writing Center and Library is filled with various tools and pathways to encourage, advance, and assistant Ashford students.  There is 24 hour writing tutor to assist with writing , a Paper Review tool that will give you feedback on a paper, a virtual library, and helpful links that take you to other sites filled with tips and tricks.

There were two areas that I found to be the most helpful for my needs. Writing on a Discussion Board Post was especially helpful to me. This is the first on line class that I have taken. I admit I was nervous about what to expect. The Writing on a Discussion Board Post gave insight as to what the professor may be expecting as well tips on how to break down the assignment. For example, there are four steps on how to write a great discussion board post! There are also examples of Discussion Board responses.

The second area I found helpful was the APA Style section. The APA Style section explains what APA is and how to use APA when writing.

I explored the Library and I was very impressed with the amount of information available to Ashford Students.  Beyond a traditional library, the Ashford virtual library gives you access to journals, ebooks, and videos. There are also a number of ways to search the databases for items within the library. You can search by alphabet, subject, or type.

I am looking forward to using the Writing Center and Library throughout my academic career at Ashford University.
