That being said, you still need to acknowledge any passages that you take directly from the text you are reading and writing about. You do this by enclosing the passage with double quotes (“) around the text being used. Please note however, that you should not rely on quoted passages to fill up your paper. • Even though you may have only one source, please still list that source properly at the end of your paper. • Most importantly, I am interested in your opinion of the piece so the bulk of the paper needs to be in your own words. As your instructor, I am interested in what you have to say about the article.
