It’s more than the negative that you’re going to die, it’s also the positive that you understand you’re going to die, and that you live a better life because of it”
Think a little about what changes you might make if you knew the end of your days was near. Morrie’s approach was simple, if you know you are going to die, and begin to prepare for it, you become more involved in life while you are living it.
So, try this – each day, as you awake, pretend there is a little bird sitting on your shoulder – turn and ask – “Is today the day I die little bird?” Then live your life today as if it was. So – is today the day? What can you do to live your life a little better today? Perhaps you would like to share your thoughts on death and dying and living with the class.
