Write a three-to four-page paper on “the ethics of strategic management.” Sources will need to be properly cited and referenced in the paper. This paper should conform to APA style guidelines. (The title and reference pages do not count in the required paper length.) Include in your paper the following:
Ethics of Strategic Management
Research “Ethics of Strategic Management” via the university library and databases. Identify two or three resources that provide a good overview of ethical issues that might arise in how strategic analysis is structured, how strategies are identified and selected, and how strategic implementation is controlled.
Because these Internet resources are not likely to be peer reviewed, you will need to use some judgment to qualify the material as meeting high academic standards. Many Internet resources do not meet this standard! You will need to include some statement on how you qualified the quality of the resource if it is referenced in your paper.
Using this research foundation, identify ethical issues that exist within StilSim Personnel as it is currently operated. Further, identify ethical issues that are embedded in the strategic plan you have developed for StilSim. Which assumptions are being made in the strategy formulation and implementation control?
Ethics and StakeholdersUsing resources available in the Franklin University Library, research “ethics,” “stakeholder management,” and “stakeholder analysis.” (Searching abstracts in Business Source Complete is a good place to start.) Identify one or two resources that provide more guidance to ethics with the framework of strategic management. Address other items in addition to what you learned in part “a” above.
Ethical Issues and Legal Issues
Reflect on potential legal issues that may arise by possible actions taken by StilSim employees. Address how ethical issues are sometimes blurred into legal issues. Discuss where the ethical and legal “gray areas” are within StilSim Personnel.
Summarize the earlier part of your paper relative to StilSim Personnel. Focus on specific issues that need to be addressed in either the strategy formulation and/or strategic implementation for your plan. Review Learning Demonstration 5-6 in the StilSim Student Manual for additional background on this part of the assignment.
