Conducting a Critical Analysis
As you read the literature, read it with a critical eye. This does not mean searching out the negatives, but to be aware and report the limitations if they exist. It is possible that, depending on your topic, that there is very little direct literature that exists in which the topic is examined from an evolutionary perspective. In this case, you should get creative and come up with your own hypotheses based on whatever literature does exist.
