After the appraisal, the employee forgets about the criticism and ignores the supervisor’s suggestions for improvement. What is this employee guilty of? Explain.

6.Explain the concept of a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you were a manager, how would you use this concept to your advantage?

7.Suppose you’re in a meeting with your supervisor and your department coworkers. Your supervisor asks you to demonstrate how you perform a particularly difficult task in your job. How would you feel about this? Do you think you would do a good job of demonstrat­ing the task? Does your answer agree with what the text has to say about the impact of group properties on performance?
