Crime is a crime, whether committed online or committed offline, they should therefore be treated equally just as one .In both of them there is expression of the hate, they might be told through writing or even through word of mouth or the hate may be express through the internet but all these are hate and they might end in the same thing , if you hate somebody you even think of killing him .
The endpoint of the hate are the same .Rechard Machando hated a certain race in their school and he considered them to be the cause of aall the problem within their institution he termed them to be the ones who are responsible for the backwardness within the institution . To express his hatrade , he used an email messaging to inform them , I think this one he was doing out of fear of being identified but all in all he hated them , he could have done anything to see them out of the institution .
So whenever the court is ruling on cases concerning hate speeches they should be considered equally whether done online or offline , these are ll crime , they are expression of hate and the messege is reaching the target .The individual with this hate can do the same thin as he could have done it online just to see those hated out of the institution .
If I were the judge doing the ruling , on the Mathew shepherd case I would have just ruled the same way as the judge ruled .since the duo , first pretended to be gays and took Mathew out of the club that was kidnapping , they were pretenders with hidden intentions . They again ended killing him, this was murder therefore it was must that they were to be charged with murder, they proceeded to his house to rob him all the things he had in the how which was robbers so the ruling of the court was the best ruling that I could have just copied if I were the judge preceding over that case.
On Richard Mochando case ,He was a criminal with hidden intentions that he was expressing only through email , he hated certain race within the institution, this could have led him to even kill all of them , which could have been murder , He again was involved in theft , he was a suspect of a stolen car , the visa of his roommate was missing ad still he was the suspect , he also attempted to cross the border without legal permission , all these cases were enough for him to be jailed for a certain period of time . I think the ruling was much fair that was not supposed to be. I could have sentenced him in jail for period of five to ten years.
Yes, if Richard Mochando could have not been caught, I am very sure he could have ended in murder, since he had much hatred to this race, making attempt to email all of them to inform them that he hated them, he could have proceeded to ensure that all of them were eliminated from the institution. And this he could have done by killing all of them which could have been madder
