DISCUSSION BOARD INSTRUCTIONS-DUE: WED, JUNE 6TH BY 11:59PM
There will be 4 Discussion Board Forums with reading assignments for each. You will complete the assigned readings and post a thread of at least 350 words, including at least 2 citations in current APA format from at least 2 different resources, answering the discussion board question assigned from the readings. You will then post a reply of at least 175 words (including at least 1 citation each) to 2 classmate’s threads.
For your thread, you will be given a choice of questions to enliven the discussion. List the question number in the subject of your thread.
For your replies, respond to students who addressed a question other than the one you chose, and then point out either 2 weaknesses with their post or add 2 additional supporting points.
Responding to a classmate’s post requires both the addition of new ideas and analysis. A particular point made by the classmate must be addressed and built upon by your analysis in order to move the conversation forward. Thus, the response post is a rigorous assignment that requires you to build upon initial posts to develop deeper and more thorough discussion of the ideas introduced in the initial posts. As such, reply posts that merely affirm, restate or unprofessionally quarrel with the previous post(s) and fail to make a valuable, substantive contribution to the discussion will receive appropriate point deductions.
This course will be utilizing Post-First in the Discussion Board Forums. For each Discussion Board Forum, once you have submitted your thread in response to the provided prompt, you will then be able to read and interact with your classmates’ threads. Threads are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday and replies are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the assigned module/week.
