Writing Assessment (10% of final course grade)
Assessment Goals:
This assessment has two equally-weighted goals. To assess students’ understanding of and competency to:
1) write an academic paper in English
2) write accounting-specific content
Upon graduation from The Graduate School, UMUC graduates will demonstrate proficiency in effective written and oral communication that meets expectations for content, organization, purpose, audience, and format.
Best practice: prior to starting the assignment, please review the TGS Communications Rubric (attached) and consider all rubric criteria when writing your essay.
The professor will evaluate your essay according to the rubric criteria (see the TGS Communications Rubric). Due Date: The Course Schedule in the Syllabus lists the due date (11:59 PM) for this writing assessment.
