This assignment pulls together the knowledge from Week 1 through Week 4. Using what you learned so far in class, create a proposal that presents some options in each category below. Then, make a recommendation from those options.

Your company is large hotel chain with locations worldwide. Each hotel has a reservation department, a maintenance department, and a housekeeping department. Managers at each location are resposible for making sure each department is staffed around the clock. In addition, corporate managers are responsible for consisancy among all the hotels. All hotels should have the same level of customer service and the same look and feel. Policy changes made at the corporate level need to ripple down to all company locations.

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you are being asked by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to propose a technology upgrade solution to move your company’s corporate offices into the 21^stCentury. Once approved by the CEO, you will present your solution to the Board of Directors. As a tech-savvy leader, you understand that this is your opportunity to show your company how a cloud solution can enhance their ability to collaborate wherever they are. You also have the opportunity to make needed telephony upgrades, as well as the incorporation of social media tools into your company’s work environment. In your presentation, you know it will be important to show the value of the upgrades as well as the competitive edge that making the changes will provide.

• An explanation of Cloud Computing and different types of cloud computing solutions.

• A recommendation on a Cloud Computing solution and why you made that choice

• A recommendation for an Office Productivity Software solution and why it is important to move in that direction. Discuss cost and benefits to the company.

• An explanation of Unified Communication and how a VOIP solution is better than traditional telephone service. Include a comparison of different Unified Communication platforms and recommend one based on cost and features.

• A discussion of theats and vulnerabilities and how you propose to protect your chosen cloud solution from cyber-attack using best practice passwords and data protection protocol

• Why and how the use of social media can ensure your company has a competitive edge. Include a strategy for moving to social media presence and best practices for apply social media.
