The UPS package design and test lab uses different tests to ensure a safe package. One method used by UPS test lab is the movement test, this tests the package in a simulator that simulates a package being transported in a truck, this is to give the tester a better understanding of the level of protection needed to ensure that the product won’t get damaged while being transported on the road. Another test used by UPS test lab is the environmental temperature chamber; this method is used to test the packages in different weather conditions.
