4. Use the tables provided in the Appendices at end of this document to record your answers.
5. Please note: You do not need to submit this assessment as a formal business report. Updating the Appendices and submitting it as a whole will suffice.

The information for the scenario, on which this assessment is based, is contained in the following documents. Read these documents in order, making sure you also read any other linked documents. This scenario may be used in future assessments.

This document provides you with details of your role in this scenario as it relates to this assessment. Please note that in future assessments you may take on a different role.
This scenario sets the boundaries for the Database Server Feasibility Study. You will need to view this as a sub-project of the main Bazaar Ceramics Website project.

Tasks
Task 1 – Define Scope of Feasibility Study
Using the information contained in the Scenario documents, summarise the scope of the feasibility study. In this summary you need to include:
• Title
• Background to the study
• Business Objectives
To summaries the goals of this research in objective format
• Parameters for the study
To define what are the terms for your research
• Constraints to be applied
• Stakeholders & other interested parties list, including names and job titles
• Approvals page
This should list all stakeholders who need to approve the document along with an area for their signature.
Use the table in Appendix A for your answer.
Task 2 – Prepare a new Online Research Plan
Prepare a plan for your online research. This plan will document how you plan to conduct your research for this Feasibility Study.
An online research plan helps to ensure your gathering of information, on the web, is organised and focused. Your plan should include the following details for each area you plan to research:
• Research Aim – This states what you hope to determine through your research
e.g. Identify current license arrangements for MySQL server
• Reason – This describe why you need to find out the information. You should ensure that your reason relates back to the provided parameters for the Feasibility Study (in the scenario document).
e.g. Short and Long term costs must be determined along with how to ensure the server is legally licensed and purchased.
• Possible Sources of information
e.g. www.mysql.com
It is expected that you will include at least 3 different Research Aims for each Server Option. (At least 9 in total).
Make sure you include your third server option name in the heading on the last page.

Task 3 – Conduct your Online Research
Using you Online Research Plan and Feasibility Study Scope documents as guides, conduct your online research. As you progress, update your Online Research Plan to include the following information.
• Actual Source of information – Which lists where you actually found the information
e.g. www.mysql.com , www.solutions.oracle.com
• Results of research – Which briefly describes what information you found
e.g. $125 per user for 12 month
