13 Jun TEACHER LEGACY USER STORIES
Full project directions:
Part one is already completed. We’re just doing payroll and the piece of project I am working on is the Teacher Legacy User Stories highlighted in red on the user stories doc. I’ve included part one just for reference as this is completed. What is needed is part 2 and part 3. For Part 2 a unit test and corresponding method is needed. For part 3 a integration test for more complex transactions is needed by the below directions. Remember we’re only doing payroll so this should be easy and simple. I’ve included the full zipped material of all provided documents
Part1: Not needed only for reference
The project will be broken into three groups: Payroll, Store, and Bank. You may sign yourself into whichever group you prefer. Use your group discussion board to analyze the Miss Peach documents provided below this paragraph: interview, database, use-case diagram, system requirements, data flow diagram, and Storyboards provided by the business analyst. Your only goal this week is to write user stories that correspond to the business rules for your group. You should also assign some measure of difficulty to each task. A simple ranking will suffice. Try to break each story down into separate tasks. Ideally each task will correspond to a separate method, but don’t worry too much about that right now.
Part2: Needed
Each of you is only responsible for one unit test, and its corresponding method. For this assignment, please concentrate on one, simple story. For our integrated test next week, we need a story that passes all its unit tests.
Part3: Needed
A further integration test is needed for complex transactions. This will usually involve a database, and is necessary because a single transaction may involve changes to several tables. Such a transaction is not complete until all steps of the transaction have succeeded in order; otherwise, the transaction is rolled back. Such an integration test is supported in Visual Studio by the build always beginning with the test database provided in the Resources folder. This type of integration is beyond the requirements for this class; I am only interested in the concept, and for our purposes the integration test at the story level will suffice. This does not need to be complicated. Every group has need for password verification. This is a story with several unit tests.
