We are satisfied with the roles we have to play during collaborative learning.
We respect each other and we are ready to listen what others say or contribute.
We feel that there is an atmosphere of trust inside the language classroom.
Our expectations to perform better are equally shared among the group.
We all feel being free to make comments either positively or negatively.
Some students are less serious during` group work.
Sometimes students who have better ideas do not share willingly.
There are some students who pretend to know better than the others.
Sometimes there might be a student who tries to dominate the group.

The discussions with the teachers and with the students pave the way for me to find out how we could successfully implement CSCL inside higher education language classrooms. I might ask myself the following questions:

How can I motivate teachers who seem to be unclear of the benefits of CSCL?
How can I maximise students’ participation in CSCL classes?
How could I clarify teachers’ doubts about the benefits of CSCL?
What current pedagogic practices could support the implementation of CSCL?
What technological platforms could be more favourable for CSCL?

If these questions get clear answers they will answer my research question: How can CSCL implementation be enhanced in Omani higher institution classrooms to enhance knowledge construction and promote autonomy in language learning?

What needs done to answer the questions

To answer these questions I might have to conduct an interview with the two groups of teachers. I have to interview those teachers who are reluctant to implement CSCL in their classrooms to find out the reasons behind their reluctance. Also I will have to interview the teachers who have the willingness to implement CSCL in order to understand the motives which encourage their willingness to implement CSCL with their students. I can as well inform both the groups of teachers about the students’ opinions about CSCL and how they feel about collaborative learning. Further, carrying out classroom observations can provide me with a clear understanding on the needs of CSCL including pedagogy infrastructure and training.

(Note: I have added the word ‘language’ in the research question to make the project more focused.)
