Then under 2 separate headings, complete the practitioner practice component and researcher practice component. A checklist has been included on Blackboard Learn that you can use while reading the article to help track your thoughts. Please do not include this checklist with your assignment, it is only a guide to help you.

Critical Analyses Questions:

1.Were the goals/aims/research questions of study defined in a clear manner? If so, provide explanation of what they were.

2.Was the methodology clear? This section should include description of participants, recruitment of participants, design and the location of the study, and any data collection instruments used. Provide a brief explanation for your response.

3.Did the results directly address the research questions/hypotheses? Explain.

4.Did the conclusions make sense when considering the research design and data analyses performed? Explain.

5.Are practical implications of the findings provided? Do they make sense?

6.Was there any bias in the authors presentation of the results and discussion?

7. In general, was it easy to identify and understand the article components? Please elaborate.

Practitioner Practice:

Explain in 2 sentences or less what this study did and found. The explanation should be as though you are explaining it to a person with no research or health background knowledge (ex: your grandmother). You want the explanation to be accurate but concise and simple. Think health literacy!

Researcher Practice:

Develop two new research questions. These should be questions that you would pursue in a future research study. Your questions will be evaluated on innovation; ability to address gaps in the research left by the reviewed study; and feasibility to be examined empirically. These should not be questions that can be answered easily by reading the article but something beyond the articles results.
