The Superfund Amendments is a united state-federal government program which was formed to ensure that the cleanup processes of sites which are contaminated with the hazardous materials are funded. These amendments were established by the comprehensive environmental response, compensation, and liability act of 1980. This act was meant to authorize the federal natural resource agencies to carry out the practices which pertains the conservation of the environment and also they were supposed to recover the natural resources which had been damaged by the harmful substances which had been released to the environment. The Superfund ensured that the cleaning process had been done and later those who polluted will be made to refund the amount which was spent during the process by referring them to the US department of justice. So the main purpose of the superfund was to provide funds to be used when cleaning the hazardous materials which have been dumped, and after that, they reclaim the amount spent from the concerned parties who polluted the environment. So all the funds are being refunded except when the parties which polluted the environment disappear.
This law was designed to institute changes on the passage of the emergency planning and also to ensure that the community had the right t know. Its other role also was to come up with the requirements for the local and state emergency planning in areas where there are hazardous materials released to the environment. The other role was to ensure that the public had the right to access the information regarding the chemical dangers in the community. This Act had some provisions which include the emergency planning whereby it ensured that there was an adequate planning for the emergencies. Also, the other provision which the act had was to ensure that the notification of emergency was released on time and that it reaches the intended parties. There was also another report which the act ensured that it was released and it was a hazardous chemical storage reporting requirements, and it ensured that all the requirements were met. Finally, the other provision under this law was the toxic chemical release inventory. so, these are the areas which the law was set to oversee.
The regulations which were put in place by the act at the workplace will prevent the employees against terrorism; this is because, among the requirements is the personal safety which is emphasized and therefore at the workplace, it should be ensured that the employees are free from dangers, hazards and any other form of risks which may lead to injuries are the employees being hurt. There are some of the ways which can be used to fight terrorism, and one of the ways is by holding a group viewing of the videos with the acts of terrorism. After the movie, discuss it with them and try to relate the situation in the video to their workplace and whether it will be possible to note the suspicious behavior which might lead to the acts of terrorism, will they be able to identify such behaviors? So let them be in a position to identify those who might target the company and how they will be identified, by so doing, it will be easy to prevent terrorism but with the utilization of other ways apart from this one.
