Being a reflective practitioner means that educators must take time to think about their processes in the classroom and the outcome of their efforts and find ways to not only progress but also improve upon current methods in order to improve the quality of education for all students. This also allows educators to develop in professional competence. This may require self reflection or sharing ideas and concepts with fellow educators. I personally like to sit with a group of educators and share ideas and insights. I know by doing so, I will learn from others as well as have my ideas respected by my peers. This also provides me a way to reflect upon other educator’s methods in order to develop my own methods of pedagogy and practices which improves upon my performance in the classroom.
