Your task in this essay is to generate an argument on one or two of the film versions of Hamlet. In order to do this, you must show knowledge of the original play and its meaning. This will involve at least two primary sources. You must also use at least four additional secondary sources (including at least two peer-reviewed arguments) in essays related to your thesis. These might be on readings of the play or the films in question. After reading, and briefly summarizing scholarly points of view, you will then incorporate them into your own written argument by extending, challenging or complicating them in some way.
