1.Activity :Using insights gleaned from your required readings and from the video complete the following assignment:
1. Create a PowerPoint presentation that you could use as a downloadable resource for parents and community members on your schools website.
2. Your presentation should espouse the virtues and benefits of engaging parents and the community in schools.
Additionally, make suggestions about how the ideas presented in:
1. Weeks readings are applied to the school where you work (or would like to work)?
2. How would you address concerns, such as involving those who for whatever reason are reticent to communicate or feel disenfranchised, and engaging the disinterested parent, not just
those who are willing to participate and contribute.
Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as “speaker notes” for each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Length: 12-15 slides (with a separate reference slide). Include 3-5 sources.
