Literature Review
Write a FOCUSED literature review on the topic of Turnover. This can be turnover intentions, actual turnover or both. You are able to bring in any related literature for example the Work-Family Literature covered in weeks 1 and 2 and/or the Reciprocity Literature covered in weeks 4 and 5, although you can also explore other literature. It is expected that because this is a very broad topic that you will be focused and particularly draw attention to what is known and what is unknown (i.e., where are the gaps in the literature).
One way to lay out this Literature Review is:
1. Introduction: outlining the overall aim and focus of your literature review.
2. Body of the literature: define the topic and detail any underlying theories/issues/factors. For example, if you are using reciprocity, then youd describe Social Exchange Theory.
3. Summation of the major issues/factor/s covered by the topic you have chosen to examine. This might include, for example, study findings etc.
4. Importantly: Highlight where the gaps in the literature are. What dont we know? Why has it been neglected?
5. Conclusion: sum up your paper and what you have found.
6. References. A range of good quality academic sources (references).
Note: the style of literature reviews is quite broad so feel free to be inventive! ??
