Do you consider yourself to be a struggling writer, and average writer, a good writer, an excellent writer? What is your attitude toward writing? What three things would you like to improve about your writing? How might you go about making those improvements? How might this class help you in moving closer to your writing goals? You may want to review Appendix A from our textbook for help with grammar and punctuation (pp. A-1 through A-18 in the back of the textbook). WK2 TOPIC Look ahead at the assignments you will be working on throughout the portfolio project. Identify one or two areas that you think might be particularly difficult for you. What can you do now to prepare yourself to overcome those difficulties? Looking back at the assignments you have completed so far. What did you find particularly difficult? What could you have done to make the process easier, more efficient, or more effective? What have you learned about your own writing? WK3 TOPIC Looking back at the proposal you wrote this week, briefly describe how your writing may have changed had you directed your proposal toward a primary or secondary reader. What does this tell you about the importance of understanding your readers? How might this apply to your personal, professional, and academic writing tasks?
