•O- affect relieving pain and Preventing relapse?
However, my professor wrote this in response:
Tobin – this is an interesting and important topic. As you know, the project must be nursing practice-focused. I think I see the connection with nursing practice, but would you share how you view the nurse’s role in this population?

You have 4 of the 5 elements identified, but the “T” is missing. The “T” identifies the time frame for data collection. An EBP project should have a pilot project in which you measure the outcomes to determine whether or not the new intervention was effective/successful.
Also, the question itself is missing.
The final PICOT should look like:
In your patient population (P), how does new intervention (I) compared to current practice (C) affect (or you can say improve or reduce the incidence of) the desired outcome (O) over the time frame that you are measuring the outcome (T)?
