Week 2: Concept Activity (10 pts)

Objective: in this concept activity you will practice using APA format. You will (a) practice identifying improperly formatted information from a scholarly research report and (b) create a reference sheet.

Directions: Download the .doc titled ‘Week_2_Concept_Activity.’ Follow the directions provided to complete the activity. When you are finished, upload your completed concept activity as a .doc to the assignment link on Blackboard. You will complete this week’s concept activity in two steps. In step 1, you will identify whether or not a re-written paragraph is plagiarized or not based on the in-text citations provided in the paragraph. In step 2, you will read through a list of citations provided in a references sheet and identify if there is anything wrong with the citation and how you would fix it. Make sure to use the text, lecture information, and APA formatting handouts provided to help identify the proper format for in-text citations (Referencing in-text citations_guide) and references list (References_list_citations_guide).
