The statuses that we hold can help to identify our locations within the social structure. Identify several of your statuses and describe how each of your statuses could influence your behavior or perceptions. Respond to the following questions:
- The trend in modern society is for ascribed statuses to become less important. Instead our emphasis is on achieved statuses. Do you think this is the case? Why or why not?
