1. Work from the mentor approved assignment, wherein the following six elements of the proposed study were finalized:
   1. Background of the Study,
   2. Problem Statement and Significance of the Study,
   3. Theoretical or Conceptual Framework (methodology dependent)
   4. Researcher’s Positionality,
   5. Purpose of the Study,
   6. Research Question(s) and Hypotheses or Research Question(s) (methodology dependent) *Note: Qualitative researches do not need to complete Participant Inquires at this time
2. Draft and add to this paper the study’s:
   1. Rationale for Methodology and Design,
   2. Operational Definitions for the Study, and
   3. Assumptions and Limitations
3. Drafted elements must follow the requirements of the Rubric and Template for these sections.  The submission must include all elements of the study drafted to date (see list in instruction one of this assignment), as well as the additions in instruction 2 of this assignment.
4. Title your revision to the study as Developing the Rationale, Definitions, and Assumptions and Limitations.
5. Submit your paper in Microsoft Word format via the dropbox by the deadline identified above. The composition should follow conventions of standard American English appropriate for a professional and scholarly audience using APA format (6th Ed.). Submissions that do not comply with the page in length specified in the Rubric for these study elements (title and reference pages excluded) will be rejected.

This submission will be reviewed by your mentor for a determination of its appropriateness as given. You must obtain mentor approval of the Rationale for the Methodology and Design, Operational Definitions of the Study, and Assumptions and Limitations no later than Week 4 of this course. Any student, who does not obtain mentor approval by Week 4, must schedule and participate in an Evaluative Telephone Conference (“ETC”) with the chair and mentor to determine the viability of the student’s progress towards completion of program objectives.
