Identify and research a LOCAL policy from an area that you are familiar with or are interested in (your hometown, where you live now, where you want to live in the future).
Most local laws are called “ordinances” or “municipal codes” so using those terms in your search might help you find local policies. In addition, there is a website that hosts the municipal codes for many cities throughout the U.S. https://library.municode.com/# (Links to an external site.)

Prepare a response to each item below.
- Describe the policy. What is its purpose? What does it do?
- Why do you think the policy was needed?
- Does it impact health? If so, how? If not, why not? (Remember the health determinants.)
- Who/what agency is responsible for enforcing the policy?
- Do you think the policy is a good one? Why or why not?
- Do you think the policy should be changed or modified in any way? If so, how?
When you post your response, make sure to number each part of your response to coordinate with the questions presented.

Avoid unknown sources of information that may not be credible or reliable.
