COMPARISON CHART OF CURRICULUM MODELS DIRECTIONS
Select 5 models of instruction or enrichment for gifted education discussed in the course
textbook, and fill in the white sections of the provided comparison chart template to compare and
contrast the different models. The chart will expand as you add more information in each box.
Include a title page and reference page in current APA format in your submission. Be sure to cite
the information from the text and any other resource used.
• Name of Model: Give the name by which the program is most widely known.
• Developers: Name the educational philosopher(s) or researcher(s) who designed the
program.
• Design or Plan of the Model: Explain the basic plan for how the model is set up to
operate.
• National Standards: Describe which National Standards in Gifted and Talented
Education the Model addresses. (standards can be found at http://www.nagc.org/resourcespublications/resources/national-standards-gifted-and-talented-education )
• Strengths: List what are considered to be the outstanding strengths of the model.
• Weaknesses: List the areas that are considered by you (or others) as weaknesses in the
program.
• Assessment: Describe how a student would be assessed or evaluated in this model.
