Springer Bro’s Air Conditioning and Heating, LLC prides themselves on honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship at affordable prices. Their main focus and priorities are to ensure that their customers are always provided with a completely satisfactory experience. Throughout the course of this paper, Luis will evaluate whether Springer Bro’s actions align with both their vision and mission statements, examine how their mission and vision statements might affect or guide the employees within the organization, and describe the companies culture.
Springer Bro’s Actions Vision and Mission Statements
According to David and David (2017), a vision statement should answer the basic question, “what do we want to become?” (chapter 2). A clear and concise vision statement provides the basic foundation for developing a well laid out mission statement. Therefore, in order to establish an effective mission statement, the organization must first develop their vision statement as the vision statement reveals the type of business the organization conducts. The mission statement answers the basic question “what is our business?” and or “what is our mission?” (David & David, 2017, Chapter 2). These questions provide the organization with purpose and help to distinguish and or set apart the organization from similar companies within their respective market (competition). In short, the mission statement provides the business with their reason for existing, who they want to become, and who they want to serve.
Springer Bro’s mission statement is to serve their community with honesty, integrity, and quality at a fair price and to always provide customers complete satisfaction with their company by believing in their right to indoor comfort and cleanliness. The organization prides themselves on honesty and integrity and instills these same ethics upon their employees and technicians These ethics can be found within the organizational handbook which also states that any violation of integrity to their customers will result in immediate termination. The company also holds its customer reviews in high regards and always seeks to maintain and receive five-star reviews on their customer experience. Upon receiving anything less than a five star and or satisfactory review, the company is quick to remedy and dissatisfaction that their customer may have experience. The company also provides its customers with extremely reasonable prices which are often priced far below their competition. The organization also often times provides discounts to their loyal customers and even provides free services for deserving customers who are unable to pay for and or afford repairs on their HVAC systems. With this in mind, one could easily determine that the organization’s actions align with both their vision and mission statements.
Springer’s Mission and Vision Effect and Guidance of Employees
Springer Bro’s mission statement is extremely effective in guiding their employees to provide honest and trustworthy service. Their mission statements also help to ensure that their employees provide great service to their customers at all times through quality work at fair prices. However, their vision statement does not provide their employees with the drive and or motivation for continual improvement and or perfection of their skill-set as their vision is unclear. With some refinement of their mission statement, the organization will help to encourage and promote continuous growth and or increase of their employee’s skill set. A more effective statement might read “To serve our community with honesty, integrity, and quality at a fair price to ensure complete satisfaction with our company by employing highly trained technicians and use of the most current and state of the art techniques.” This might encourage their employees to seek continuous training and certification courses.
Springer Bro’s Organizational Culture
Springer Bro’s organizational culture is based on honesty and integrity and is about providing the best possible customer experience at a fair and reasonable price. The company holds their employees to these standards as well and goes through great lengths to ensure that their customers are always one hundred percent satisfied. The organization is family owned and operated, and extends this same type of setting and or atmosphere to both their employees and customers alike. The organization does this by offering competitive pay, paid time off, sick days, Christmas bonuses, annual tool allowances, and matched employee medical contributions and or premiums. The company also takes great care of its employees, which helps to provide a more family-like atmosphere.
Conclusion
Springer Bro’s Air Conditioning and Heating strives to provide their customer with a great customer experience through quality work at reasonable prices. The organization prides itself on honesty and integrity, and instills these same ethics and vision in their employees. This honesty and quality service has allowed the organization to achieve great success and customer loyalty, and has helped these qualities to become synonymous with their name. With a little refinement to their vision statement the organization will be able to ensure continuous growth within the organization and employees alike.
