healthy community is based on several principles such as: complete physical, mental and has social well-being. My idea of a healthy community is a community that provides safety, equality and opportunity for success to the people within it. Example qualities of a healthy community are: clean and safe environment, adequate food, water, shelter, income, work, health care services, strong supportive relationships and networks. Healthy communities strive to incorporate social, economic goals to promote and sustain health. The Center for Disease Control has built Environment and Health Initiative (also known as the Healthy Community Design Initiative) to provide support, facilitation, resources and tools to communities to improve their health (CDC, 2014).
By providing education pamphlets and seminars at the local community centers, schools or churches is a way to help provide care and teach healthier living within my rural community
