final portfolio value will not be a critical marking criterion. Instead marking will centre around your
ability to explain and clearly justify your investment decisions throughout a single year.
For simplicity use an interest rate of 2% over the given year for all relevant calculations. Brokerage
fees will be implemented to maintain a level of realism such that for transactions under $6,000 in
value you will be required to pay $30 in brokerage fees. For transactions greater than $6,000 in
value, you will be charged 0.5% of the total transaction value
