· Use the Harvard referencing system and provide references [e.g. (Smith, 2011)] within the text and an entry in a references list. Otherwise, it will be considered as plagiarised work.

· Ensure that you back-up your work regularly and apply version control to your documents.

· Ensure that any file you upload is virus-free, not corrupted and not protected by a password, otherwise they will be treated as a non-submission.

· You must NOT submit a paper copy or email of this assessment to any member of staff at LSST.

· Your work must be original with the appropriate referencing

Assignment Brief

Theaimofthisproject istodesign,developandevaluate a 2D game for PC. You can choose any type of game you like (e.g., shooting, arcade, educational, etc.) and fully develop the game.Your game should meet the following requirements:

1) Only one player can play the game.

2) You should choose a working title that fully reflects the type of game

There are thousand of games on the web. Use Google to search for games for all platforms and come up with an idea and a title that fully reflects the main theme of your game (e.g., shooting, educational etc)

3) Minimum one level

You may want to add more levels, but these should be discussed in advance with your tutor

4) One challenge.

The challenge you will pose the players can be fixed throughout the game or of increased difficulty. You may want to include additional challenges, but thisshould be discussed in advance with your tutor.

5) One reward. How will you reward the player for achieving the challenge? (e.g., with a pot of gold, save Princess Leia, etc.)

You may want to add more rewards in your game, but these should be discussed in advance with your tutor.

6) Artwork that is fully developed by you or taken from copyright free resources on the WWW
