Continually saving your coursework and updating your portfolio is critical to the successful completion of your final portfolio. It is in your best interest to add files to your ePortfolio as you progress through your program, as you will eventually lose access to your courses and the files in them. Again, you will lose access to previous courses so please save your work to your portfolio while you are enrolled in each course. Included in the Resources are several documents that you will continue to refer to throughout your program.
Use the Portfolio Organization spreadsheet to sort your discussions and assignments from this course into the appropriate program outcomes. You will do this during the last unit of each course in the program, so that you can begin reflecting on how your work in the course fits into the bigger picture of the EdD program outcomes.
By the end of your program, you will post two artifacts for each outcome and write about them using the Artifact Description Template from the Portfolio Expandable Resource Tool. There are several ways you can go about this process throughout the program—the choice is yours. You may choose to:
Write descriptions of your assignments and discussions as you complete them, which will allow you to capture the information about the artifact while it is still clear in your mind (form attached)
Write short descriptions that will jog your memory later.
Complete the information on the Artifact Description Template.
Write descriptions later in your program, which will allow you to reflect on a larger body of work and write about fewer artifacts.
Note: In any one of these scenarios, remember that at the end of the program, you will need to choose at least two artifacts for each outcome and write descriptions about all that are chosen.
