Question
Could you help me write part of my lab report. It would need to only include a title, introduction, methods, results, and figures section. The introduction section would need to include resources, and citations.
I designed an experiment to evaluate how c elegant worms may interact with bacteria in the environment. Bacteria are C elegance’s major food source so we wanted to learn if the worm had a preference for one type over another.
We hypothesized that when the worms are given a choice between 2 strains of bacteria (HB10 and OP50) the worms ail prefer the OP50. OP50 is the standard bacteria for C. elegant and we suspect that it is familiarity will attract more worms
Prediction: we predict that almost all the worms will be on the OP50 bacteria because it is already known food source. As days pass and the food source is depleted maybe on day 2 the worms will be more attracted to HB10, but initially all worms would prefer the familiar OP50.

If you performed an assay several times with slight variation each time, a methods section would include a single assay description and then describe how the methods varied for each experiment. Methods sections are written using full sentences in passive voice and can not be bulleted lists of experimental procedures but can be broken up into different sections (for example, ‘choice tests’).
Results: Results sections are where you describe the actual results of your experiments but interpretations of your results should be reserved for the discussion section. Your results section should refer to your figures but the figures and captions should be placed at the very end of your report as additional pages. Figure captions should be stand-alone text that includes a figure number, a descriptive figure title and a description of the figure so that the reader can understand what the figure is displaying without referring back to the main text.
