This is an expansion of last week’s assignment – you will work with the same
interaction interface for which you gathered requirements in the Unit 3 Project.
Write a paper in which you provide the following information:
Part 1. Dashboard Design Ideas
Using one of the conceptual design tools describe in the textbook, Chapter 5,
generate two ideas for the dashboard you are designing. Provide the following,
writing at least one page for this part:
? Describe each of your two ideas for your dashboard.
? Choose one of the two ideas that seems better, and explain why it is a better
choice.
? Explain how the conceptual design tool helped you develop your ideas.
Part 2. Wireframe Design
Using the design you chose as best in the first part of this assignment, create a
wireframe drawing. There are examples of wireframes in the textbook reading.
Place the wireframe in the same Word document as the rest of your assignment.
Include labels for all parts of your wireframe, which should have at least 10
elements to show detail. It is important to realize that a wireframe’s purpose is to
show where elements will be placed, and is not a functional or final version of your
design. Neatness will count, as it is a factor when showing designs to potential
clients in the workplace.
Part 3. Evaluation
Once you have created the wireframe, evaluate the design based on Nielsen’s 10
heuristics, which are listed in the textbook, Chapter 5. This section may be
presented in a bulleted or numbered list format, but should still be written in
complete sentences.

? Your paper should show an understanding of the textbook reading.
? Submit your work as a Word document – import the wireframe design into the
same document.
? Include a properly-formatted cover page.
? Sources are not required for this assignment; all information must be in your own

? Use subheadings for each part of the paper so that your professor clearly sees
where each of the three parts begins.
