Think about your first day of work at your current or previous company. If you have never worked, consider a social organization or faith-based organization in which you are a member. Describe how you were introduced to the organization and its culture. What specific identifiable organizational behaviors defined the culture of the organization? Were you overwhelmed with paperwork or given a tour and/or briefing of the building?
How did these variables influence your initial perception of the organization? If you are still with that organization, how has your impression of the company changed over time? If you have left that organization, how did your opinion of the company change before you left?

Visit any organization (e.g., a department store, a business office, a bank) and make some observations about the organization. Begin your observations as you approach the building. Observe colors, parking, cleanliness of the exterior of the business.
Continue your observations as you walk through the doors. Notice how employees are dressed, conversations you might hear, the wall displays, furniture, and tools and equipment. Do not forget to observe the actions and behaviors of other customers that might give insight to the company culture. Describe your experience. Be specific.
