Using a JIT Approach – Needs Analysis
Read the final project instructions, found in the “Components of Course Evaluation” section of this guide or in the Week Six module of your online course, and the article, The “Just-in-Time Imperative”. Then, complete the following:
- Explain the Just-in-Time (JIT) approach in your own words.
- Identify a problem that can be addressed by JIT training/learning, either in your workplace or academic setting (e.g., employees at a fast-food restaurant cannot seem to take orders correctly using the company’s registers and software; chemistry students are having a hard time understanding important concepts, because they are spending too much time and effort trying to memorize formulas).
- Describe at least three possible JIT training/learning technology solutions that might address this problem.
- Using scholarly sources for support, explain how you think each possible solution could address this problem.
Guided Response: Post your initial response in the discussion forum. Then, respond to at least four of your classmates in the discussion forum by providing additional comments and recommendations on their identified problems and solutions.
Note that this needs analysis will be used throughout the course in developing your final project.
