The purpose of this assignment is to enable you to:
? Understand the theory and principles of innovative project procurement strategies and impact on the construction supply chain.
? Examine contemporary international practice in relation to procurement strategies including relational contracting, strategic project alliance and public-private partnerships within complex multinational project team environments.
ASSIGNMENT TASK
Assignment 1 comprises a critical review of three of the readings (Journal papers) related to a selected topic in construction procurement. Topics can include barriers in construction procurement, public private partnerships, value-for-money, green construction procurement. Students are encouraged to start each review on a new page. The total length of all of the reviews should be no longer than 1200 words and should cover the following items:
? Purpose: Aim or objective of the paper.
? Method: Design or methodological approach used in each paper.
? Findings: A review of the main outcomes of each paper.
? Implications: Practical outcomes or impacts that the paper makes in the industry.
? Critical appraisal: Evaluate the quality of the paper considering the methods, results and conclusions of the paper

This is an assignment that is to be submitted and marked as an individual. The assignment must be submitted as a cohesive review. It requires a table of contents, introduction and conclusions.
