For this assignment, I will apply what I have learned about quantitative and qualitative methods to develop a concept paper based upon the hypothetical research study you have developed during the course.
There are five major sections to this concept paper: (1) Introduction, (2) Theoretical Framework, (3) Brief Review of the Literature, (4) Research Method, and (5) References. You will develop the introduction section of the concept paper using one of the problem statements that you created in Activity 6 (See Attachments). For Week 7, you developed a methodology for one of the research problems that you developed in Week 6 (See Attachments). For the concept paper, you want to select the problem statement that was not used in Activity 7 ((See Attachments). In other words, if you developed a methodology for a quantitative study in Week 7, then your concept paper should be developed for the qualitative research problem that you developed in Week 6. You are encouraged to use the work that you completed in Week 6 and the feedback on that assignment in developing the Introduction section of the concept paper.
In assignment 2, you created a theoretical framework based on the five articles related to your study topic. Revise this framework and develop the framework such that it will relate to the problem statement that you are using for the concept paper. You are encouraged to use the framework that you developed for assignment 2 and the feedback on that assignment for creating the Theoretical Framework section of the concept paper.
For the assignment in Week 4, you created five annotations for each of the five articles on your research topic. In those annotations, you summarized the findings of the five articles in addition to identifying the problem statement, purpose statement, and research questions. Use those five annotations to develop a brief literature review. You may want to refer back to the research articles from which the annotations were developed in developing the Brief Review of the Literature section of the concept paper.
You will write the Research Method section of the concept paper according to the directions that you used in Week 7. However, be sure that you develop and explain the methods for the research problem and research questions that were not used in week 7.
Include a Reference section in your concept paper. As a minimum, list the references for the five articles that you used in developing the theoretical framework and that were used for developing the annotations in Week 4. You will also have references that you used in developing the Research Method section of the concept paper. You may also want to include an interview protocol or other documents as appendices to your concept paper.
Length: 10-14 pages, not including title and reference pages
References: Minimum of five to eight scholarly resources
