Professional Liability for Healthcare Professionals: Analysis, Description, & Coverage Chapters 20 to 24

Objective: To judgmentally reproduce your understanding of the purpose of liability insurance, which is to spread the risk of economic loss among members of a group who share common risk.

ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES (10%):

Professional Liability for Healthcare Professionals: Analysis, Description, & Coverage. For this assignment, you are encourage to choose any profession from the Health Care area and critically evaluate, state and describe the professional liability insurance coverage offered, cost and Policy Features. The paper will be 3-4 pages long. Each paper must be typewritten with 12-point font and double-spaced with standard margins. Follow APA format when referring to the selected articles and include a reference page.

EACH PAPER SHOULD INCLUDE THE   FOLLOWING:

1. Introduction (25%) Provide a short-lived outline of the purpose of an insurance policy including risk categories and the importance of professionals to carry professional liability insurance.

2.  Professional Liability for Healthcare Professionals (50%):

A. Analysis: Describe and state the insurance policy, risk categories, policy period reporting requirements for the career of your choosing.

B. Description: Designate and explain the liability of the Professional of your choosing.

C. Coverage of the Liability Insurance 

3. Conclusion (15%)

Rapidly summarize your thoughts & assumption to your critique of the articles and Chapter you read. How did these articles and Chapters impact your thoughts about Professional Liability?

Evaluation will be based on how obviously you respond to the above, in particular:

a) The simplicity with which you assessment the articles;

b) The complexity, scope, and association of your paper; and,

c) Your conclusions, including a description of the impact of these articles and Chapters on any Health Care Setting.
