organization information and data provided should help you in arriving at your
solution. You can make reasonable assumptions, but if you do,
it would be helpful if you point out any assumptions that you make that impact
your solution. There are no minimum or
maximum page counts for the exam solutions.
Whatever you need to make your proposal is acceptable however it is
reasonable to expect that it should take no more than a two pages for each
question. However, many have students have received maximum points with much
less than that. Be sure to proofread

You have
been hired as a consultant to help this organization with its management controls.
This organization was established as a government agency in July 1847 to
provide transportation services across the federal government sector. In time, this organization changed with the
advances in technology and the expansion to new forms of transportation. The current organization is divided into
three main areas of transportation: ground, air, and marine. Ground transportation is further divided
into: rail, road, and off-road divisions. Unfortunately, the management
controls for the organization have not kept up with the other changes. The
organization now faces losing funding because it does not have a way to measure
performance, is lacking any planning that is tied to its pursuit of resources
and has been getting poor results from outside audits. The organization also has an agency that
provides transportation services for a fee and its fee structure has been
criticized for losing too much money and may be dropped. You are recognized for your knowledge and
expertise in management controls and were hired to analyze and fix the
organization’s management controls
including planning, budget processes, performance measurement, and any other
controls deemed necessary.
