Some students make a distinction between synthetic DHA and natural DHA. Is the chemical formula of DHA different when it is extracted or synthesized by a human rather than found naturally?

What about water? What is the chemical formula of water? Is there a difference in the chemical formula of water when it is found naturally in rain or the ocean as opposed to scientists in a lab synthesizing water?
