The product created will be an addition to the existing product lines of firms that deal in the production
of cosmetics and their distribution. The product will fall into two categories; skin care and beard care. It
will be a product that will help in the growth of a fuller beard. According to research, many millennials
mostly from Asian countries cannot grow a full beard (Blume-Peytavi, U. 2008). This indirectly affects
their self-confidence and self-esteem. However, not all of them would acknowledge that the lack of a
beard tampers with their confidence or esteem unless through qualitative means of research like
projective techniques.
The product shall be called The Beard Generator, patenting the name and the idea would be a wise
move. This product would kick off and accelerate beard growth. The ingredients used in its production
would be all organic. This, as a result, would lead to a lot more consumers than if the product was not
made of natural ingredients. This is because the target market is very conscious of health decisions they
make, the perspective on this one is entirely about adverse effects caused by products that are not
organic. The product would also be available for the different skin and hair types. Its packaging will be
made of biodegradable plastic that is created from corn starch. Additionally, fiber packaging will be used
in its secondary packaging.
Production would be done in China, the obvious production hub. This is because China is one of the
countries where its millennial generation could benefit from the use of the product as well as it is
neighboring other countries with large numbers of the target market thus making it cheaper to distribute
the product. The new product could be a product extension to L’oreal’s Men’s Expert brand. The
millennial beard needs to grow, and this is the way towards it.
