Students must adhere to APA format. Students will demonstrate the application of Social Work values and the Saint Leo University Value of personal development into the material covered. The case and specific questions for analysis are below. Put the headings in the paper. Developmental Analysis Case 1Aayla is a Jamaican female aged 24 with two children Sasha 3 and Cayley 1. Aayla is originally from Jamaica, but immigrated with her parents and brother to the U.S. when she was 12. A few years later, her father abandoned the family and she has not seen him since. She is unmarried and the children’s father rarely comes to visit and only occasionally provides his required child support. She lives with the children in a 1 bedroom apartment in a very impoverished section of town. She is unemployed and receives TANF. She reports not having enough monthly income to pay all of her expenses and says she cannot afford childcare so she can get a job. She does not know about the free preschool program around the corner. The neighborhood has no parks or green areas, and is dangerous at night as gangs are often hanging around the streets. There are many liquor stores and pawn shops, but the closest grocery store requires two separate buses to get to. There is no church in the area and neighbors are not very connected because there is a lot of transience in and out of the neighborhood.A concerned neighbor called CPS because she was concerned about the children. The CPS worker who goes to the home, finds very little food and children dressed inappropriately for the weather. She also finds a case of beer in the fridge and Aayla smells of alcohol when she arrives at 11am. The home is messy and dirty with smelly garbage needing to be taken out and dirty dishes piled in the sink. There is very little furniture and no toys for the children. A prior report was called in by the same neighbor 9 months ago, alleging that Aayla left the children alone and sleeping in the apartment for about two hours. That report was unsubstantiated because it couldn’t be proven.Aayla reveals that she grew up in an alcoholic home, with her Father and older brother addicted to alcohol and drugs. She denies being subjected to abuse as a child or as an adult. However, she was often ignored because her Mom spent her time dealing with her husband and son’s addictions. She did not complete High School, but would like to get her GED. She is not interested in religion or spirituality and is not interested in her culture. She has no friends but her Mom lives about 30 miles away. Her Mom works at least 60 hours per week for Walmart and can only help Aayla on occasion. She barely makes ends meet, but sometimes brings Aayla food and rent money. She is also very critical of Aayla and verbally berates her. Aayla’s brother lives in Georgia, but is still involved in drugs so has little contact with the family. Aayla is often belittled by her neighbors. They call her the “drunk Jamaican.” Her Mom blames her for her situation, saying “you shouldn’t have gotten pregnant. It’s your own fault.”The CPS worker spends some time with Sasha and Cayley. Sasha has a bad cold, is small for her age and has some bruises on her arms. She is curious and alert. She rarely speaks and her sentences contain about 3-4 words in them. Sasha exhibits some behavioral problems and needs frequent redirection to follow the rules. She often purposely annoys Cayley and tries to hit her Mom. Cayley is starting to walk and puts everything in her mouth. She still drinks only from a bottle and sleeps with the bottle as well. She says 1-2 words. She likes the large blocks that the CPS worker brings with her.Aayla has little patience for the girls and responds angrily towards them when they don’t listen to her. She believes they should be able to feed themselves by now and could help her clean the house. She does not pick them up, cuddle, rock, or interact with them even when they cry.Thoroughly assess EACH CHILD based on the information provided in the case. Determine and describe the developmental stage each child is in and what tasks should be accomplished in the stage. Make comparisons to the children in the case and identify if the children are on task, ahead, or behind in development. Based on your learning and reading, why might there be differences? Apply your learning from the class to be able to analyze each child. DO NOT prescribe or discuss treatment and treatment plans. This is an analysis only. It is also different from the Biopsychosocial assessment you did in another class. Be sure to include the Headings below in the paper for each child.1. Describe each child’s Biological/physical functioning (1) completion of physical development tasks (2) significant illness/disease and (3) nutrition and exercise issues (be specific-see rubric)-2. Describe each child’s Psychological functioning : (1) cognitive development (2) cultural development (3) emotional development (4) self-concept, self-esteem, and empowerment (5) significant life issues/events and diversity issues be specific- see rubric)-3. Describe each child’s Psychosocial functioning(1) family environment (2) social Institutions (3) spirituality (4) community and social network (5) discrimination/ oppression and economic factors (6) resilience/strengths (be specific- see rubric)-4. Describe Saint Leo University’s core value of Personal Development and explain what it has to do with this assignment (see rubric)-
