What threw me off was the rep-tile, which is a figure that is used to construct a larger, similar figure by using repetition. In this section it also talked about altitude of a triangle, which is the perpendicular segment from a vertex of the triangle to th line containing the opposite side of the triangle. In section two of this chapter it talked about the properties of quadrilaterals, most of these were things that I already knew. What I didn’t know that there was an actual shape called convex kite and concave kite. Those were shapes that we really didn’t talk about in elementary school, so they are completely new to me. Section four of this chapter had talked about similar shapes and this was something that I knew about and it was a refresher. Since this chapter had so much information in it, I am going to reread it just to make sure that I understand everything correctly. ALONDRA POST Geometric construction is a useful tool that helps create drafting and design. Measurements must be accurate to ensure the structure is concrete and solid to sustain anything.
