Journaling can be a great process for learning new information, applying it to your own situations, and reflecting on the meaning of the information and application at a personal and organizational level. This journaling exercise will be the basis of your week one assignment. This week use your journaling as you read each of the articles to do the following:

1. Identify one example of right versus right moral dilemma and one example of right versus wrong from your work or personal experience, current or in the past, and summarize them identifying why you identified them as such. (100 words)
2. Summarize key information and ideas as you read the articles that pertain to these two situations. (200 words)
3. Identify the approach from the reading you would use to make a decision for the two situations. (100 words)
4. Identify the decision you would make based on the approach. (100 words)
5. Reflect on the implications for you personally and/or professionally of appropriately addressing both right versus right and right versus wrong decisions. (200 words)

Journal 2

In this week’s journaling, you will continue the process of summarizing key concepts as they apply to you. This week you will have the opportunity to use any organization you are familiar with to apply the concepts. This organization can be (1) your work, (2) an organization you participate in, as part of your personal life, or (3) an organization for which you are interested in getting a better understanding. Your entry should be at least 450 to 500 words.

This week use your journaling as you read each of the articles to do the following:

1. Identify and describe the organization you will be applying to your reading concepts this week. Remember, this organization can be (1) your work, (2) an organization you participate in, as part of your personal life, or (3) an organization for which you are interested in getting a better understanding.

2. Identify at least four stakeholders and as you identify them and describe why each is an important stakeholder.

3. Describe the social responsibility and/or sustainability (environmental, social or economic- also known as the triple bottom line) issues that apply and the stakeholders to whom these issues apply.

4. Reflect on this situation and identify two potential right versus right and right versus wrong scenarios that might emerge if you were leading this organization.

Journal 3

Please reflect upon the journal entries you made in the first two weeks. As you read each of this week’s articles, address the following in your journaling:

1. Identify the criteria and factors, identified in this week’s reading, that are relevant when making decisions as a manager or leader.

2. Taking the two examples (one example of right versus right moral dilemma, and one example of right versus wrong from your work experience) that you identified in week one, what criteria and factors were considered during the examination of the issue or dilemma?

3. What decision making criteria were ultimately used?

· What steps were taken to identify the values and rights of stakeholders?

· How were policy and legal requirements recognized?
