The First Team Meeting Using the Checklist
Last week you worked as a team to determine what you had in common and familiarized yourself with
the Meeting Checklist from Chapter 1 of the textbook, pages 22 and 23. You and your teammates will
meet for the first time following the Checklist items. Make sure to conduct all of your meetings in the
Team Chat room in each unit.
Assign a team leader, administrative facilitator (timekeeper), scribe (note taker), and project manager.
Based upon what you learned about each other from the Unit 1 Introduction section and the Team
Discussion Area, capitalize upon each other’s strengths. Declare your team members’ names in the
Checklist document.
Follow the six items from the Checklist and record the outcome for each one. Next, you will assign a
scribe or note taker moving forward to support all necessary meetings for the Team Final Project. If
you are the lucky one who was voted as scribe, please use the exact verbiage from the checklist as
you account for each item. Record the ideas shared by each member during the meeting using a
Word document.
