‘Alternative sports’ are structured and organised in different ways to traditional sports. In relation to a particular ‘alternative sport’ critically discuss the statement that although these alternative sports are becoming increasingly more attractive to a broadening demographic base they are still the preserve of the white male middle class and present specific challenges for the strategic development of sport.

Criteria for Assessment

– Clear introduction that introduces and defines the chosen topic;

– Presentation, structure and organisation (academic content)

– Meets the requirements of the assessment brief;

– The range and relevance of the sources used in the research of the topic;

– Relevant and appropriate references used to support claims and arguments made;

– Structure and critical analysis of the issues;

– Clarity of the conclusion and recommendations (ability to summarise and illuminate the issues presented).

– Title page, pages numbered

– Word-processed using double line spacing, typeset Times New Roman size 12
