OVERVIEW
As with all technology, major discussions have concentrated on social
media. Where it once was limited to texting and a personal site, it
has evolved into a massively influential means of exchanging
communications, information, and media.
This assignment is two-fold. You will have the opportunity to discuss
applications of social media in a professional environment. Also, you
will have the opportunity to work with your peers to highlight the
features of various social media tools. You will be graded on your
individual contributions and not on the team product as a whole.
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Your instructor will assign groups and a social media tool that you
will discuss among yourselves in the first discussion in Unit 9. For
the assignment, use research from the textbook, readings, Capella
Library, or Internet, and write a 1–2 paper about social media use
in the workplace. In your writing, address the following:
* Describe the social media tool.
* Describe how it is being used in the workplace.
* Describe the advantages and disadvantages of that tool.
* Use critical thinking skills to discuss what you believe the future
of the tool to be.
* Answer the question, “Has social media made us more ‘social’? Why
or Why not?”
REQUIREMENTS
* Written communication: Written communication is free of errors that
detract from the overall message. Use spell check in Word to confirm
spelling and grammar.
* Font and font size: Use Times New Roman, 12 point.
* Length of paper: Write 2 pages, double spaced.
* Due date: Assignment must be submitted to your instructor no later
than midnight Central time on Sunday.

OVERVIEW
Technology is a dynamic phenomenon that shows no sign of slowing down.
Every development has affected the population personally and
professionally on many levels. Many predictions have come true while
others simply did not work for reasons such as budgets, time to
