While in Aristophanes’ Clouds, we see a dismissive attitude to the veneration of intellectuals and the importance of the philosophic life. Where, exactly, do you see a contrast between Plato’s and Aristophanes’ views of the philosophic life? How do you see the role of intellectuals in public affairs? What are the implications of your view for democracy?
