Question Description
Purpose
This assignment is a continuation from the previous unit. The purpose of this assignment is to work in a team to firm up your project details and create a professional presentation with audio narration for the Director of IT.
Scenario Restated
You work for a company that holds a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition once per year. In the past, competitions had at least 1000 people competing against one another. There are 100 challenges in the system ranging from general IT to cybersecurity. There is no way to know exactly how long it takes participants to perform a challenge however, some investigations have determined between 30 seconds to 1 minute, on average. It is crucial that the system stays up during the competition. It is estimated that each year the number of participants will grow 10%. It has been decided that in the upcoming year, the system will be delivered to contestants from the Cloud as Software as a Service (SaaS) as opposed to being an on premise system. The main reason for this is because last year a power outage occurred, and the system was not operational for 4 hours during the 72-hour event. Management doesn’t want that to happen again.
You work in a small IT team and your Director of IT asked your team to research at least two cloud providers for the CTF system. The CTF system was developed by Facebook, is open source and runs on Ubuntu. You will also determine the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the two providers. At least one of the cloud providers you pick must be Amazon, Microsoft or Google. Your analysis should be done in report format examining the comparative evaluations of the two providers over a three-year time period.
Based on the Total Cost of Ownership analysis, your company will know which cloud provider to use. Knowing this, you will then perform a risk assessment by identifying the assets for the project, identifying the threats against the assets and determining what security controls/solutions are needed. After the security solutions are determined, conduct Return on Security Investment for each security control. It is fine to make assumptions.
Assignment Instructions
For this assignment you will continue working with your team. First, firm up this project by reviewing feedback from your instructor and any feedback or last minutes changes from your teammates. Make sure all documents are present on Google Drive and that your instructor has access. Second, you are going to create a group presentation for the Director of IT. Each team member will create at least two slides to include audio narration. Prior to recording the audio, create transcripts as this will make recording a breeze. All transcripts should be on Google Drive along with the Presentation.

The presentation must be at least eight slides and is to cover the team make up in terms of roles and responsibility and the various milestones achieved for the project.
